There a few different types of face shields I feel you know about. According to OSHA face shields are to worn in addition to safety goggles to provide adequate protection. Window face shields usually extend from the brow and across the entire width of the face. Different windows can include glass can be clear or filtered. A lift front window can come in handy when you need to be able to lift up your face shield. Plastic windows are designed to protect your face from any chemical splashes or to prevent any lightweight objects from impacting your face. They also make a type of face shield that you can adjust the size of the strap that fits on your head so that they may be shared my many a different employee. For an extremely heavy duty application you can use your face shield in combination with a hard hat. Different hard hat style face shields can be removable.

Attn: dentists are you tired of getting your face dirty?

I am a dentist and I started using a face shield in 2004. Sure it looks a little strange to a person in my chair but the face shield protects my face from flying debris. When I am using my face shield I feel much more comfortable than when I am not. I do not care for smelling peoples breath either. The smell of drilling a tooth is also lessened. I am so happy that I started using a face shield that I got my brother who is also a dentist to wear a face shield. He told me he loves it. My face shield is plastic and also adjustable. I clean my face shield with non ammonia based cleaner. Like something you would clean your glasses with. Ever since I've been using my face shield I have been much happier at work. And happier and home.

We Never Forget Our Face Shield?

Safety is a major concern in any laboratory, and today we are all very dedicated to maintaining a safe environment to protect us from bodily injury, and especially eye and or face injury. Remember a face shield is always worn as a secondary measure and we are so dedicated here in our lab that our last safety warden left to become a Hari Krishna. We really do believe in face shields a great deal.

Some processes, such as silvering glass dewars, are sufficiently hazardous and alarm even the most reckless about us, and so we have put together an appropriate set of gear for the common man or woman. We never forget our face shield.

1.The stylish yellow lab coat, with detachable hood is flame-and acid-retardant.
2. The face shield in this reference adds that edgy "riot gear" touch, but since a face shield only qualifies as secondary eye protection it is complemented by an elegant pair of safety goggles which can not be removed until leaving the laboratory.
3. Heavy gloves complete the outfit, removing any possibility that one might handle something delicately and thereby avoid the inevitable explosion.

And Always Remember Your Face Shield.

I was trying on clothes at a store...

A face shield is a great invention for people that wear make-up. I was trying on clothes at a department store the other day and I got my make-up all over the white shirt I was trying on. I felt so bad I told one of my girlfriends at the bar that night. I was actually very surprised to find out about a company called Colvin-Friedman that actually makes face shields. She had a friend that worked there so I asked if she could get me a face shield and she did. I wear this face shield every time I go out to try on clothes. I was very lucky the last time that I didn't get caught not wearing a face shield and ruining the white shirt. I told all of my girlfriends about them and so we all got face shields. What a great idea!!!
